General Info
Feb. 21st, 2016 10:28 pmElizabeth Ross is a professor of cellular biology at Culver University and the estranged daughter of General Thaddeus Ross. She was directly involved in the experiment leading to the creation of the Hulk and was romantically involved with Bruce Banner at the time.
Canon Nav:
Betty is taken primarily from The Incredible Hulk (2008) with the deleted scenes and comics canon added for flavor, so while she does have a temper under that disarming persona, she won't be hulking out in the creature-feature sense. I'm happy to negotiate details for pretty much everything since there's so little to work with and so many origin stories to choose from.
In terms of timeline, I'm interested in everything from pre-accident days to post AoU speculation. For the former, I'm pretty excited to dig my fingers into some unsafe lab practices and unethical pseudoscience. For the latter, my default headcanon is that Betty is living a relatively quiet life as a middle-aged professor with Leonard and a gaggle of grad students, emotionally stable and going grey. Maybe tracking the news and trading bittersweet emails with Bruce on the side. Maybe bonus radiation poisoning, if it suits.
Shipping:
Gen is always good - I'm in this for the mad science and whump. I'm also happy to ship Betty with just about anyone, with a slight preference for canon ships and F/F. Scientists, psychiatrists, professors, and debatably career soldiers have a canon leg up. Also, poly ships are always fun. Just keep in mind that her age would remain relative to Bruce's; she's in her forties by AoU. I'll never assume a ship or expect one without discussion/noted pref, even a canon one. Squiggly canon presence makes that easy.
Tag Logistics:
EST.My tagging rate averages to one a day. Oops, that's not true, I've developed a Betty problem.
If a tag is going to sit in my inbox for over a week, I'll at least contact you to let you know what's up. On the flip side, don't stress about taking your time or dropping. I'd appreciate some notice but I know from burn out. Also I'd love commentspam practice if that's something you do, since I'm not great at the brevity thing.
